STATEMENT OF VALUES AND OBJECTIVES
Progressive Veterans (ProVets) Is:
- PROACTIVE - A not-for-profit organization that strives for continuous support of all veterans;
- ALL INCLUSIVE - Open to all veterans and community members;
- VALUES DRIVEN - Driven by the values of equality, justice and and human rights;
- TACTICALLY DIVERSE - Uses various actions to defend and advocate our values;
- DECENTRALIZED - Organized and administered at the local level with an equal responsibility delegated amongst all members;
Progressive Veterans does not endorse, associate with or affiliate with any certain or specific political label, candidate, campaign or agenda. We realize the term "progressive" in our title may initiate knee-jerk associations towards certain political beliefs, but as an organization, Progressive Veterans does not subscribe to any label or agenda. We encourage the community to look at the term "progressive" outside any preconceived political contexts and view it as the simple goal of reform, advancement and progress on a human level. We feel any political stance would distract from our true intent of helping and advocating the PEOPLE, despite personal belief systems. Applying blanket-statement political labels restricts, alienates and distracts. We stand for and are proud of veterans, no matter what their voter registration card does or does not say.

Backbone Values
Equality
ProVets are guided by tolerance of all genders, ethnicities, sexual identities and religions. We strive for an acceptance of all people from any background and we disagree with an prejudice that judges individuals by association. We believe in providing opportunities for every person to have their ideas heard.
Justice
ProVets embraces shared power distribution. We oppose individuals using authority to administer personal gains, beliefs or agendas. ProVets believes that bureaucracy and legality should not dictate action when it compromises virtue.
Human Rights
ProVets expects all nations and armies to abide by the Geneva Convention and extend humane treatment to all individuals. We believe all people deserve food, shelter and security and that everyone is entitled to education, freedom and employment.
Project Fundamentals
Progressive Veterans directs funds, resources and energy into veterans and community support in an effort to protect our principles and live to a higher standard.
